Comparing Wingspans

 

Grade 6:

 

A hummingbird has a 4 inch wingspan, cardinal 11 inches, crow 3 feet, hawk 4 feet, and an eagle 7 feet. How many inches of total wings are there?

 

Grade 5:

 

If there were 3 crows and each had a wingspan of 3 feet, 2 hawks with each having a wingspan of 4 feet, and 1 eagle with a wingspan of 7 feet. How many total inches of wings would there be altogether?

 

Grade 4:

 

A humming bird is 4 inches long. How many hummingbirds would it take to be as long as an eagle wingspan if the eagle’s wings were 7 feet long?

 

Eagle 7 feet

Hummingbird 4 inches

Hawk 4 feet

Cardinal 11 inches

Crow 3 feet
