March 3, 2013 ~ Two Days In a Row!
Another round with Larry and Lucy. All signs are pointing to a season with an egg or two. After copulation it takes 3-5 days for an egg to be laid. Occassionly it can take as much as 10 days. They are at their peak and we may not see every time this happens. It may even happen after an egg is laid. Time will tell if the stress of her injury makes it too difficult for her body to handle reproduction. However, they are trying, and we wait. Thanks to Kelli Rooney for her video of the event.
This afternoon, Lucy came and perched for a bit on Larry's branch. What a beautiful sight.
